Hi! I’m Miss Loni
I am the lead teacher at The Raspberry Sawhorse Preschool. I am so excited to get to know each of you and your very unique and special personalities! I am very patient, kind, loving, and super silly.
I have been teaching preschool for 16 years. I started teaching in Lehi, UT and moved Spanish Fork, UT to begin teaching in Mapleton.
Hi! I’m Miss Jackie
I love teaching and it shows!! I am the assistant teacher. I help Miss Loni with all of the super fun interactive games, crafts, class parties, and field trips that we will have during the year!
The preschool is taught out of Miss Jackie’s home. Miss Jackie is my amazing mom!! She has been teaching for 44 years.

Brittney Maxfield Says…
“I have sent all three of my kids to Raspberry Sawhorse. They loved their time with Mrs. Loni and Mrs. Jackie and left confident and completely prepared for Kindergarten. Mrs. Loni is so organized and communicates so well with parents. Her curriculum helped my kids learn all their letters, numbers, letter sounds, and more. My kids absolutely thrived in her structured, but fun and creative environment. I highly recommend Raspberry Sawhorse!”
Megan Machen Says…
“The Raspberry Sawhorse Preschool is an amazing place for early childhood education. Miss Loni and Miss Jackie go above and beyond to make each child feel valued, confident and successful. The comprehensive curriculum is well-designed and has the perfect mix of learning life skills and academic achievement. My children who have attended absolutely love going to school each day and wish they could go on their days off! I can see obvious growth in my children's academics and social learning, thanks to the Raspberry Sawhorse Preschool. I would recommend this school to everyone, hands down!”
Kellie Nelson Says…
“Four of my children have now attended Raspberry Sawhorse Preschool and they have all loved it! Miss Loni and Miss Jackie are the absolute best! I feel total confidence dropping my kids off in the care of Loni and Jackie. I know that not only will they learn so many new things, but they also grow in confidence, make friends, have fun, learn social and emotional skills, and most important to me- they will be loved and cared for! Thank you Loni and Jackie, for loving my kids and giving them a great first 'school' experience!”

FAQs
Do you have snacks during preschool?
We have certain days and holidays during the month that are snack days. Snack assignments are done on a rotating basis and appear on the monthly preschool calendar and monthly email communication. We supply the cups, napkins, utensils (if needed), and drink for the snack. Children celebrating their birthdays will be able to bring the snack on or close to their birthday. We celebrate summer birthdays during the month of May.
Do you offer field trips?
Yes! Each field trip expands on that month’s educational unit. Based on location availability, we go on up to 4 field trips during the school year. Each field trip is designed to help each child experience and more fully understand the discussions held in class.
How many children are in each class?
With two awesome teachers and 3 spacious preschool rooms, we are comfortable with the following amounts of students in each class:
4 year old Kindergarten Prep classes - up to 18 students
3 year old Preschool Beginnings classes - up to 14 students
What form of discipline do you use with children?
When children are having a hard time with any of the rules at our preschool, 3 verbal warnings are given. If the behavior continues after 3 warnings, the child will sit in time out for no more than a minute. If behaviors continue daily or become violent and extremely disruptive, we will work with you on some type of reward system to correct the behaviors. Parents are informed when disciplinary action is taken.
